what is the best place to get stag handles for colt combat elite?
Real Sambar Stags are expensive. Not quite ivory pricey but close. Just beware, there are a lot of fakes and junk stag grips out there.
Best thing is to do your homework, shop around and ask questions here and anywhere you feel you can get good info. Real Sambar Stags are the only way to go. They usually are the most expensive but will hold their value and add to the gun's value, the cheapies, not so much.
I got my set from a guy that took a chance and bought a bunch, pre-made grips at a great price. After he sold them out and went back to place another order the price went up 200%. (Well that's what he told me. Neither he or I bought anymore stags.) Now I'm looking for a similar deal on ivory or Mammoth ivory bark. I'm not holding my breath.
I installed the medallions. They are a set of 1986 Colt 150th commemorative metals.
The following are NOT recommendations! Just a Google search.

Very nice! I need to get some new grips for my Springfield, but don't quite know what would look good with the green and black. Suggestions?

Sarge (AKA the Finer Grain) can set you up with Stag (or Ivory) grips.
Nutmeg Sports is also a premier place for Ivory (although not sure if they handle Stag).
Dan Chinnock Knives (but he also sells custom grips) is also a premier dealer. He can set you up with 100% Sambar Stag, Elephant Ivory and 100% genuine Mammoth Ivory from Siberia.
All three are top flight/premier dealers and all can be bought over the net.
