I picked up and shot my new SR1911 today, nice trigger, very accurate, great quality what else can I say.

The manager at the LGS which is one of the largest in our state said this was the third one to come in, the last one to come in was in September of 2011.

Yes pics!! The Ruger SR1911 is almost like a bigfoot sighting. We hear that they are out there but they are very seldom seen..

The GS I buy from had one come in and it was gone in 3 hours. I actually saw it but didn't touch it. I can only take the GS owners word that it was real!:)

I've been #2 on the waiting list at my LGS since last May. Two weeks ago I told him to let it go to someone else if it ever comes in. After having a Remington R-1 1911 I decided that I'm just not a 1911 guy.

They are out there.? It took me almost a year of Detective work,? & phoning every dealer on line etc.? Until I struck pay dirt ran me apx $731.00 but I think it was worth it.

Congrats! Great looking gun. But on the other hand, 1911's just look great to start with.

I took a large bin of 200 gr. SWC ammo to the range and blew through about 300 rounds. No problems, all fired and I was pleasantly surprised with the soft shooting and tight groups. The muzzle was really blackened from all of the shooting which I noticed the next day when I cleaned it. Picture is on my previous post.
