Want a black 1911 with a rail, like the lightweight operator or the trp operator, problem with the trp operator is I don't want the bull barrel... Problem with the LW operator is that I don't want aluminum frame... Problem with MC operator is the color.... Can I get the armory kote that's on the trp on the frame of the MC operator? If so any ball park range of how much itd be??

    Thanks!

Why not look on the Springfield websights?

I did look on the website. Seems they don't offer the MC operator with a black frame. I dont see any tinfo on custom armory kote jobs. I may just give up on the rail an get the standard TRP.

You can go through the Custom department and they will make you whatever you want. The only problem is paying for it. The custom manual says an Armory Kote of all metal parts is $100.00 so you may be able to buy the MC operator for whatever price its offered and send it back to have the black AK added.

You can buy whichever pistol suits your functional needs, and SA's custom shop will Armory Kote the entire gun for $150.00. To get more info on it or to ask specific questions you can always email SA. They usually get back to you within 1-2 days.

Ok then it sounds like I might Ed up with an MC operator after all, thanks. This raises another question for me though.... I've read that the trp is like the best non custom 1911 you can get from Springfield, I kno about all the external upgrades that it has that the operator doesn't but how about the internals? Is the trp made with different/better parts or are they the same gun internally?
