Hell no, your Glock is meant to be a small gun. The cut down 1911 is an aboration. It is not like a milspec 1911 that you can get part anywhere. If there is anything wrong with the micro 1911 no one can fix it beyond replacing parts. It is a gun that is meant to be 9" long that someone cut down to 6".

Welcome to the firearmstalkforum.
We have an "introductions" area where you could take a little time and introduce yourself.

Because I do not shoot the Glock, I would do the trade (even if it were a Jennings).

Not knowing your experience, have you researched the values?
Are you aware of the extra care required on small 1911s?
It is recommended that the recoil spring be changed regularly on small 1911s.

Is SA getting out of the small 1911 market? Was at their website and the only things smaller than a full size were two champions (Operator & Loaded) and the EMP. The Loaded Champion is pretty much what I was looking for anyway, just surprised at the lack of options.

I have the opportunity to trade my glock for a .45acp Springfield micro. It's a plain Jane all black with standard trigger hammer and beaver tail would you guys make the trade?

It all depends on if you are a pistol guy or not. I have and shoot LOTS of pistols so I agree with what Cane said for sure. If the only pistol you have and shot any is the block, as I call them, then you might be disappointed as they are vastly different. I think pistols should be made of steel and wood not melted down pringles lids. Then I'm getting old and they didn't have ugly plastic guns when I grew up.
