I picked up Springfield EMP 40 this afternoon. I have owned several 1911's, Kimber Ultra CDP and a Wilson Combat CQB. The 40 S&W in a 3" barrel makes pretty good sense. The Kimber was an aluminum frame 3", and was surprisingly accurate. The EMP feels a little heavier than the Kimber. I am hoping that the additional weight and smaller 40 S&W will make a natural combination. It feels tight and solid in the hand. Surprisingly so, for a production gun. After a few hundred rounds, I am hoping to make this my concealed carry choice. Does anyone have any comments?
