Anyone have any suggestions on a good spotting scope at 1 to 200 yards that wont break the bank? Inexpensive is better than cheap any day.

At those ranges wal-mart, elcheapo midway or swfa should work fine. I have a Simmons 20-60x60 that I payed >$65. Works great.

How small are the holes you want to see?

check out MidwayUSA. they carry a very good selection of spotting scopes. i just bought a Barska 18-36 power and it works pretty good. it was in a package deal with a rifle scope for less than a $100.

    I have a 20-60x65mm. I have NO problem seeing .22 holes at 100y. Probably see them at 200y as well. The 7.62x54 wouldn't be a problem I wouldn't think. (Bushnell Trophy, $200)

Wow $3,000 for a scope....what would make that worth that amount of money??? Should be xray so you can see through women's clothes or something lol.

When you are trying to see 6mm holes at 1000 yards a good spotting scope sucks. You need a great spotting scope.

So as it turns out my dad had an old telescope/spotting scope lying around his house that he wanted to use for birding, but the field of vision was too small for him so he gave it to me its a sweet little thing and I cant wait to try it out tomorrow at the range :D
