I'm looking for a good gun shop and/or gunsmith in Southern Indiana. Close to Clark County.

There is a large gun shop which I also believe has an armorer on staff. Orion Arms, Jeffersonville, IN. Just North of Louisville KY off of I-65 Indiana exit 4 or 5 back in an industrial area East of I-65.

I asked them about gunsmithing and they said they didn't do anything like that and recommended Ron's Gun but I've heard bad things about them.

Kemp's custom coatings in Clarksville is excellent. This is where most shops send their stuff when they don't know how to fix it, and they also Duracoat, which is nice.

Hi-Tek in Sellersburg is a good place. They're a family-owned and operated gun shop in Sellersburg that I've been dealing with for 2 or 3 years. They do basic gunsmithing, repacing sights, painting, etc.

This is an old thread, but if the OPer is still around, check out Acme Sports in Seymour, right off I-65. Very fair, personable, Class III and a lot of tactical doodads.
