Good for you! And well before a decade passes domestic manufacture of 5.45x39 should be geared up. No doubt though that AK-74 owners will miss the ultracheap surplus ammo imports of the last decade!

I wonder if this will bring the price of a used AK74 down?

Or... buy a "worthless" rifle cheap from someone who can't find ammo. Then have fun!

And when we get back to having a non communistic government in the whitehouse who respects the constitution and trade, we will even have 22lrs back in stock. Until then, I'm good on that too :D

And since reading is fundamental, it appears to only be a ban on Russian made 7n6 and does not apply to all 5.45x39 ammo. So, Serbia, Czech Republic, Bosnia, Romania, and even non-7n6 from Russia can still be imported. I don't own a 5.45 but maybe I can find a "Chicken Little" that now owns a "$100" wall hanger.

This is correct, only steel core "armor piercing" 5.45 ammo is banned. Someone gets a virtual badge for spreading BS.

Good catch, I didn't notice that little tid bit until today. By my understanding the 7n6 is one of the more common 5.45x39mm imports though.

Meh, it sucks but commercial ammo is still widely available. I don't imagine anyone will have trouble getting it... That is unless people keep spreading that 5.45 was banned even though it quite obviously was not.

Well, then that's good. My friend is thinking of buying one. Hope she finds the seller.
