I think my most "loved" scam is when you ask $XXX.xx for something being sold and the person says they'll send a check for four or five times that. Then they claim that because their moving, they want you to use the remainder to pay for the shipping as well as send the rest to some moving company that's never been heard of to help save them time......oh, the check is also some random bank from some unknown country.
Someone tried to SCAM people by copying my listing.
I was selling this Complete BCM weeks ago on local forum and GunBroker.
Rifle was sold to someone from Reno, NV. He paid full even though the rifle is still with me. He will come and pick it up in 2 weeks time. Nice guy though.
Before he bought it, he asked me IF this listing is mine.

Told him NOPE. I knew someone tried to SCAM by copying my listing.

Had nothing to do and bored, i contacted the listing owner..

Glad to know you're interested in my Gun. But I must let you know I'm not in Wisconsin at the moment. I'm in Chicago, IL for an emergency. My daughter got very sick and I had to rush down here. Her mom and I are separated so she lives with her here.. And I won't be coming back anytime soon. But I brought the gun here with me because I know I might probably come up with a deal with a buyer and I'll have to ship the gun out from here. So if you still want to have a deal, let me know. Then I'll give out my number and some other things you need so we can talk on Payment and the shipment of the gun will be handled by my FFL dealer here via FedEx or Ups.

What kind of payment do you take? I can do Paypal gift payment so that you wont have to get any fees. Is the price included shipping?
I will post up if he replies again.. going to play him and get him excited.
Or maybe you all can join, pretend to be interested on the rifle. He will be super excited as he thinks he gets some fishes with a stone. lol
