This is a beauty, it's a muff pistol, 4 3/4" long by Bond of London.

What is the purpose of a "muff" pistol?

Lon- a muff pistol was for concealed carry. When it was cold, women had an article of clothing called a muff or hand muff- sort of a tube of fabric/fur open at both ends- you put one hand on one end, other in the other end, kept hands warm. And kept a small, short pistol inside the muff, for the ruffian that says "Olright, dearie- I'll be having what ye have in yer pockets".

Phil- VERY nice arms in all 3 of your posts. Are you still engraving?

Yep! Still scratching, there's a couple of pictures in the link on my first thread, these guns were done a few years ago.
Not for sometime, but I still have my collection and love to handle them from time to time.
