I'm looking for places to hunt wild turkey in the southern California area, any info will help! I am very new to the hunting scene in general but would love to get started in it. I've heard of places around Warner springs but am having trouble finding how exactly to get to public land that's legal to hunt. Any info on places to go, ways to obtain maps, or spots to hunt will be greatly appreciated!

I think the further north you go in CA, the better the turkey hunting gets.

But according to the maps on dfg's website, there are a few turkeys in SoCal.
