I'm in a bind. I am going to buy another gun, but I don't know what I should get.

    I'm stuck between either

    a Kimber 1911
    a Springfield 1911
    or a M4 type rifle

I plan on having all three...eventually, but I'm stuck on what to get first.

With the supply and pricing that's out there right now, this is a pretty opportune time to get into an AR.

I'd go for the AR right now, and followup with the Springfield 1911 next.

Thats what I have been thinking. I just needed other shooters input.
    now heres another question...

    5.56 or 7.62?

Definitely a rifle. Personally, I prefer 7.62 over 5.56. But that's just me.

I am completely 50/50 on the bore.

5.56 is a little cheaper, but I can use the 7.62 for hunting at longer ranges.

who knew buying a gun would be so hard on the consumers part?!?!

I'd go with the 5.56. Lower cost = more shooting.

Well then I think its settled. I can still hunt with the 5.56, I'll just have to be a little closer. The 5.56 will also let me chose from a wide array of manufactures.

Good choice, now which brand? OR, are you going to build your own? :)

I agree with the decision.....The ar's are a lot of fun. Seems like the 556's are cheaper to outfit with certain accessories, and the ammo is definitely cheaper. Buy one stock, and IF you get bored with it, buy a little somethin' somethin' to put on there and spruce it up. It's kinda like a significant other..... Hahahaha!

i have been looking at a few brands, and I've narrowed it down to either a Double Star, S&W M&P, or a Bushmaster.
I diffidently have plans to giving her some lingerie.

When it comes to complete rifles, DPMS, DoubleStar, and Del-Ton seem to be among the best bang for your buck. That's my impression anyway, maybe someone with a little more expertise will chime in...

I went DPMS, because I found the right deal at the right time.
