How does a company called 'Camping World' determine that hunting is 'disgusting'?
I'm no fan of the Trumps, but the boys go on a safari, and all their kills are donated to the local villagers as food...but this guy pulls advertising?

I've never heard of them. But I can promise that they'll never see a cent from me if I did know where they were. If you know any hunters (ROFL) they may be interested in knowing that this companies CEO actually looks down on them.

Okay. Anyone that wants to contact them can do so through this site. I am not asking anyone to start a 'chain letter', but if you can forward this to NRA or anyone/group who is involved in hunting, it's time to let this dumba$$ know that hunters don't appreciate being insulted, especially by what is supposedly an outdoor company.

Well, I already sent my email expressing my opinion. This is a company that makes it's living on outdoorsmen, and they're going to act like we're too stupid and barbaric to realize we're bad in their mind? As long as they have their current CEO, they won't get a cent from me.

Kinda like ASSPro shops refusing to sell ammo.

I try to do my business these days with the small town mom and pop shops in the area(s) i am hunting/fishing in.

Screw the big corporate big box stores that put new meaning to "the right hand not knowing what the left is doing" and run by big wig CEO's that dont know/care where their fat paycheck is actually coming from!

I dont do business with Cabelas, Gander Mountain, ASSPro etc

Yeah, a BIG one obviously considering they have the cash on hand to sponsor the NASCAR truck series!

Again more money than brains obviously!

Just how many folks would you guess that go to NASCAR races, buy RVs, ALSO hunt/shoot?? Hmmm??

Why would you assume that a sport started in the south by bootleggers would attract those who might pursue outdoor activities? Dude, that's profiling. You need to stop now.

To clarify our position, Camping World as America's Largest Outdoor Company, believes in personal freedom. In this country, people are free to choose. This issue at hand is not about whether people should be able to hunt or not. Our company is neither for nor against hunting. We are for personal choice and having people enjoy the outdoors in whatever fashion they choose. However, in our opinion, if and when the hunting of endangered species occurs, whether in the United States or abroad, it is not acceptable to even the most avid of hunters. We remain strong in our conviction of preserving the outdoors, protecting our great country's lands and the freedom to choose.
I received this reply from Camping World.

Are any of those animals on the endangered species list?

The ever popular form reply. That's the exact same one I got. So...even though they broke absolutely no laws, yet Camping World still wants to get on a high horse. So much for being for individual freedom, especially when no laws were broken.

I don't see the big deal with the hunt. A couple of guys got to go on a big hunt, and a village got to eat that night. I think that sounds great. I don't see how thats disgusting, cruel, or anything. It's not even wasteful. I guarantee you that pretty much every singly part of the animal was used for something.

I expect PETA and others to go ballistic over that. They go ballistic when a new Popeye's opens in a town. But for a company that calls itself Camping World? That's absolutely retarded.

These geniuses apparently do not grasp the concept that ignorant stances like the one they have taken against this african hunt get publicized by the libby media and give the anti nimwits ammunition to use against people who make the "personal choice", as they put it, to hunt and own firearms. By not taking a stand they are in effect supporting the anti hunting agenda. Thanks for posting this, I have not purchased anything from this company that I am aware of but now I will see to it that I never do.

I screwed up and didn't put it in the legal and activism area. Just remember to forward it to any of your friends that hunt or camp out. I refuse to spend any money at a company that doesn't support hunting.

If hunting is bad then politicians go to Heaven, and we all know that's not true.

I went on a date once with a woman from California. When we started talking and telling each other the highlights of ourselves, I said I was a typical red-meat eating, gun-toting, hunting and fishing, Texas country boy. That lead to a big discussion about hunting, and thus killing, animals. In her words: "killing animals I don't have to kill".
To that I responded: "You're right. As an omnivore I am perfectly capable of living my life free of meat in my diet. I just like meat and wild game is probably safer to consume" I followed that up with something about how I respect others decisions to not eat any meat, and it came out that she does eat meat but it's somehow taking the moral high-ground if someone else does the killing of the animal.

Did I mention that I went on just one date with that woman?

It is always best to explain the cleaning proves and how much you enjoy it. You will find true love before you have to buy dinner!
