Smith & Wesson 952-2 Performance Center "Masterpiece

    I see a Smith & Wesson 952-2 Performance Center "Masterpiece" For sale here I am not familiar with this model, has anyone any experience with one good or bad.

    Never heard of it. Deciphering the model number I "think" it is a single action long slide in .38 Spl midrange wadcutter. VERY unusual indeed.

    The 952 actually is a 9mm. The 52 was a 38 Sp WC.

    This sob of a pistol has been bothering me for years. It has a reputation as the most precise American 9mm semi-auto, right up there with the SIG 210, only better looking. More $$pensive too. AAArrgh!

    Edit: I can't find it. Did you say "here"??

    So Smith diverged from their normal numbering. Not all that surprising. Nice looking gun. Competiition oriented? Probably as rare as a .356 TSW.
