Looking to buy a sling for a rifle I'm having built and found the Montana Sling company. Does anyone have one of their slings and if so, how do you like it. Don't want to put a cheap piece of crap on the new rifle.

Not heard of them, but looks like they have a quality product. Above my beer taste and whiskey sipping pay.

Only leather sling I have is one I stamped my initials into, back in very early '70s when Tandy Leather used to sell them many, many years ago when in shop class, for my 1971 Ruger 10/22, which I still have.

I hope my somewhat expensive Montana sling lasts as long as the one you embossed for your 10/22

I'm partial to the nice leather military slings from Brownell's.

I don't believe Reomack is having the type of (nice) rifle built that will go well with this style of sling.

Give us the low-down Reomack on what's being built. What action used, etc.

    We love pictures, too.

And don't forget there is a big difference between a "pretty" carry strap, and a real, practical sling.

Tell us what rifle, we could give you a better answer. Sling to carry, or sling to aid in accuracy while shooting?

Told 'em I could not make it in to work today- had my arm in a sling....

I was trained differently. I was trained to have my hand on top of the sling on the forestock, so that pulling the left hand back tightens the the sling, adding stability.
Grampa was teaching me with uncle Freds M1 that he kept, stole or purchased after WW2.
    Good training.
