    Why?

    To an extent...

But nobody will talk about the "elephant in the room", namely the racial/ethnicity imbalance in the data -incidentally the same groups exploited and manipulated for their votes - a true statistically anomaly in itself.. I have a strong disdain for all the PC stuff out there in this country.

Why does PC seem to trump basic civility and morality? Why do we as a nation, continue to treat symptoms instead causes? Why does THE government become so hypocritically incensed when a person blows the whistle on their (the government) spying on its own citizens?

Good point. As an add-on to your comments, studies of the data show that most gun murders happen in a very small, concentrated are. These are the war zones. I read a stat that over a 30 year period, 75% of the murders in Boston took place in only 4.5% of the land area of the city. So,, violence is not all that widespread; it is concentrated. And the usual news accounts of violence do not mention that.

Re: Boston: With or with out James "Whitey" Bulger!!!?

And yes, that is correct - however that is not the perception the banner wish people to be aware of. It puts a damper on their "government control" agenda.

Another thing that no one mentions in their polls is how many crimes were committed with a gun obtained by illegal means. No one in their right mind is going to commit a premeditated crime with a legally obtained gun. People in the drug business or other forms of organized crime can buy illegal guns quickly or they already have an illegal gun.

Good article and well put by a liberal leaning website. Again, Obama does not care about facts. it is about control, and control, and, well, control.

What does Bloomberg want? Control over your personal life with soda, guns, suger, salt etc.

Obama has the ability to direct Illinois generally and Chicago specifically to not plea bargain gun possession. He chooses not to. It is better for his agenda to take guns away from the law abiding. He does not give a rat's butt about those homies killing each other in Chicago. He wants more control over you, who probably did not vote for him and/or any of his cronies.

We as the legal, law abiding gun owners in this country have to remain vigilant, and oppose any further "common sense" gun solutions. Particularly if the immigration law goes through, giving us so many more Democrats.

If Amnesty is passed, peaceful redress of grievances is finished in America.

    As far as Boston goes...

The area in question was known as "the combat zone" in downtown Boston... it wasn't Whitey's area. It wasn't anyone's area, people were fighting over it... as well as being a high drug area.

It is the same in any major metropolitan center. There is an area where poverty and crime reign. Gangs are a substitute for dysfunctional families and they all try to claim turf. Fights break out and the violence escalates. The drug dealers manipulate the gangs and bring their "soldiers" up through them. The kids that would turn out as good citizens are forced into the gangs for self protection and are corrupted.

Same in my city. Probably 85% of the gun violence here occurs in one section of the city.

Thats the rub isnt it, crime isnt rampant across the nation, its generally located in specific hotspots mostly in cities and suburban localities. City folk are like rats trapped in a cage, they seek to have their domains made safe by their reps and the reps generally refuse to admit that their issues are situational not widespread across the nation.

Chicago, NYC, LA, Miami, Boston and other localities need to fight local crime locally, not statewide or nationally. Our national reps cant help but take tragic situations and magnify them for the causes that fit their agendas. School shootings are less likely to directly impact us than the plane were riding in crashing.

Time to wake up and see whats real instead of listening to turds spew their knee-jerk reactionary garbage!
