Can someone out there please tell me how to remove the wooden top forearm piece on an SKS? All the disassembly info I can find shows this still connected to the tube.
Thanks a ton Canebrake! I was afraid to do too much "pounding" because I wasn't positive I was doing the right thing. Now I know that I can go ahead and cus and punch on this bugger. I really appreciate your help.
I presume by your response to Cane's link this is what you were referring to. The Gas tube? The wood cover on the gas tube is riveted in place. It is not meant to be removed for routine cleaning.
