SKS Under 200$

Hello all

RON L here = SERESURPLUS

Not sure where you are, but even here the Yugo SKS is over 200$? Yea, Like RM Tact said, Yea don't get the grenades and the Bloody thing is a pain to take off, so think of it as a cool deal to Look at? You can buy a California model that has it removed or thier are some Romanian SKS without that and the Blade bayonette but under $200? Man, I wish ya luck! Not meaning to be cruel, I just know what they wholesale for and 200$ is not a lot of mark up on anything worth owning!

I would try to avoid the models with a grenade launcher. My grandpa ( a gunsmith for over 40 years) was just talking about this the other day. I guess there is a valve that vents gas into the launcher that gets corroded. Eventually it gets a leak in it and doesn't provide sufficient pressure to eject spent casings.

In regards to to price, I paid $45 for my SKS 10 years ago.

As far as those Yugo's, I wouldn't shy away from em. Heck, they'r part of history. I really don't think you will be corroding up any vents unless you use corrosive ammo. In any case, you should clean it after use.

I bought a pristeen Russian SKS w/ folding bayo, sling, oil bottle and cleaning kit at a gun show about 10 yrs. ago also. $125 then. Get a c&r and get them from around $125 and up. I saw some not long ago for about $110. SOG has some yugo's at $129 & $159. Good luck.
