I have ayugo sks, everytime I shoot it I have to beat the bolt back with a hammer to eject the spent round. I am HOPING all it is, is a worn out gas valve. But if in fact thats all it was wouldnt you still be able to pull the bolt back manly just as I can when I load a clip and jack a bunch of rounds throw is without firing? And it get really stuck I beat on it pretty hard to get it to open up. ANy help would be great. thanks alot

You have something WRONG there! A bad gas valve, plugged gas port,
rusted up piston etc. will prevent the action from operating semi-auto,
but you should still be able to EASILY operate it manually.

First place I would look is the chamber. Is it all crudded up with lacquer
from old Wolf ammo? Sounds like the fired rounds are sticking badly.

Question---does it lock up if you dry fire it? Could possibly be an issue
with the hammer. Not quite sure how, but if the chamber is clean and
shiny that's the next thing I would look at. Does it even TRY to cycle?

From what I can see the chamber looks good. No doesnt lock up if I dry fire and it will cycle rounds when they arnt being fired. Some ppl suggested it could be a problem with the hi cap mag so I changed it over to a stock one to and I will check if that worked tommarow. But if I had to guess I would say it was a bad chamber. But thanks for the input I will keep you posted after I shoot it tomarrow. Thanks
