So I went and picked up my new Sig today. Man is she sweet. Feels great in my hand and is the almost the exact same size and weight (if not lighter) as my XDm9 when they are both loaded. It came with night sites that are brighter than I could have imagined, my wife was so impressed by the night sites that she asked if I could get her some for her Walther PK380(gosh I'm proud of her). I put both rounds side by side and boy do those 45's dwarf those 9's. I have totally seen the light. This has definitely become my night stand gun even if I didn't get a chance to fire off any rounds yet. but rest assured that range report will be coming to a thread near you soon. here are some pics, enjoy:D

Oh and I almost forgot, some how or another I got 3 mags with it. I read somewhere that they were only shipping Sig's with one mag now. It seems as though they used a mag to fire a round thru it and forgot to take it out, because it was still in the gun when I opened the box plus two wrapped in plastic, talk about lucky.

Very cool. I've been thinking about the P220. I currently have an XD also but mine is a .40 S&W. Have you had a chance to fire the new Sig? I'd be interested in first impressions.

I've got one in all stainless, had it for about 8 years now, still one of my favorite weapons, I put the hogue finger groove grips on it, and its even sweeter.

Nice gun, my friend owns one, I shot it, good grip and feel, he had some nice tritium night sights on it too

    Nice gun!

Good for you! I've had my 220 for almost ten years now. I would bet my life on it. The 45 compared to a 9 is like comparing a GT mustang to a Sprint Cup car. The 45 is a true meat-eater.
I liked my 220 so much that I now own several Sigs. They are addicting, because they just go Bang every time and hit where you aim.

I own a 1990 mfg P220 and I love it, some times more than my Wilson Combat CQB.

Hey junho806 are you a fan of Tae Yeon from SNSD?;)

Great gun--one of the classics. I recently bought a new 220 with the .22 conversion on it for about $500. It had a coupon with it for the .45 top end that I sent off (along with $399) to SIG--still waiting for it. I figured $899 for both the .22 and the .45 wasn't too bad (at least that's the story I told my wife). Mine is the SAO verson--I like it but would probably rather have the SA/DA like yours.
    Good luck!

I missed this thread the first time around, but the P-220 is an epic firearm for the .45 ACP

I would never trade my 1911's - but if some asshat named Keanu went back in time in a phone booth and lured John Browning away with promises of Twinkies and advanced technology, thereby forgoing the invention of said pistol, the P-220 is where I would turn.

    Great addition.

    It's beautiful!

Did you get the DAK or the SRT? Any comments on those features?

I have the P220 SAO in .22 myself and I prefer the SAO to the normal DA/SA. Since I have a number of 1911s, I didn't buy the .45 top end for it...

Just as an aside, take a .45, 40 S&W, and a 9 mm. empty shell. The 9mm fits in a 40 and the 40 fits in the .45.
