I am considering buying a Sig 1911... Does anyone else have Sigs and do you recommend?
1911 tac ops...best pistol ive shot. Very reliable, very accurate, very perty.
It comes stock with night sights, mag shute, ambi saftey, and it comes with 4 mags that are very good quality also has an extended mag release, and a upsweep beaver tail whicg makes holding it feel very natural. The grips are very nice as well, it has a nice crisp trigger, i had lgs drill three holes in the trigger to match the wc look. I polished my internals as well.
Ahh how I love my sigs. They are great ! No problems and shoot great !!
My scorpion is top notch.
I love the color scheme on the scorpion
How much do these cost?
My scorpion was 1100$ with night sites
When they first came out, this was the case. If you dig around, you can find a scorpion for $900 now. I have about 1k in mine.
I have a SIG 1911 Nitron that I bought in a TacPac. The pistol itself is just great fit and finish and its as accurate as you can be. The magazines are very good quality.
For all the high end non custom 1911s out there I think it's silly not to consider the SIG 1911 in any of its forms, as a viable option.
Add that to SIGs great reputation in the industry, lifetime warranty and very good customer service and its almost a no-brainer. It was for me. I was able to get in on mine for well under $800 before shipping and nics.
My 5" Sig GSR. First ever 1911 and love it....
I'm seeing the sig 1911s at my local academy for 399 but I'm thinking this can't be the same one y'all are talkin about is there a lower grade 1911 sig makes?
Sig 1911's (the GS's) have a different slide shape than a standard 1911. Some holsters won't fit well. I had to reform my leather holsters to get them to fit. Serpa holsters fit a little tight, but they do fit.
You must have seen the .22 version. It is in that price range. The 45 ACP is a much higher priced gun.
Ah that must have been it they were locked in the case and there were alot of people I didn't get a good look well you saved me a trip thanks
Probably a .22.
Thanks all for your replies... I'm believing I can't go wrong with a Sig.
I own the Sig 1911 Stainless Steel Carry, 4.2" barrel. Can't say enough good about it. I have about 1000 rounds through it at this point and it has been totally trouble free.
Great fit & finish. Only thing I changed was the grips, put a Gadsden Flag set on.
A friend has 2 of them, a Scorpion 5" and a C3. Loves them both & they are both great shooters.
Sig makes an excellent quality 1911 for the money. In their price range, I'd put them above a lot of other "big names". My brother has a C3 and a Scorpion and my FIL has a Nitron Carry. All are extremely nice guns!
I shot a friend's C3 yesterday. Sweet pistol. I'm thinking a full size Sig 1911 is in my future.
