I kind of inherited a Sig P226 Navy a little while ago. I've been thinking I might sell it, so let's pretend for just a minute that I could actually bring myself to part with it; how much do you guys think it would be worth?

    I honestly have no idea....

I am a guessing between $600-$800 depending on it's use and age. A little history about it and preferably a few pics....with you holding it of course, would help immensely. :D :D

    ^^^ what they said...:D

A newer condition SIG 226 should fetch $650 plus, the Navy edition slightly more, NIB never fired more again...upwards of $825

What would really up the value is whether the gun is one of the serialized NSW models or a standard production run with the Navy insignia. Is the serial number NSWXXXX ?

Yeah it is a NSW weapon with an anchor on it, I still have the certificate that says it's a Naval Special Warfare weapon, serial number matches. As to it's history... My ex fiance owned it, he let me have it about a year ago with every intention of having it returned but then he was arrested and discharged from the military and then he killed himself so I ended up with it because his mom didn't want it back. Other than that I have no idea. I know he took good care of it, but no idea if he was the original owner or how old it is. I'll try and get some pictures posted...

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that.

An excellent (no rust, no substantial wear) used P226 Navy is probably worth about $700, IMO.

yeah... I have a love-hate relationship with this gun, it means a lot to me and I love shooting it but it's been a rough year and holding onto it doesn't help.

    Anyway. I have pictures!! :D

Me too! Nice looking Sig. I would not take less than $675 for it. Now, where are the pictures of YOU? :D ;)
