Sorry if this thread is already on here, didn't see it..

Need opinions/thoughts on this model. Want a colt mustang pocketlite, but have a better chance with my wife tonight..

P238 was recommended to me and I'm looking to possibly purchase the "sport" model.

Is this a new model that hit the market recently? Do they still make the P230?

Thanks!

I love mine. Some of the earlier ones had some issues that I read about. As long as you're looking at a new one, you should be fine.

Don't know about the P230.

Sig P238? I have one and I LOVE it. Very, very nice little gun. Great trigger pull, I like that it has an external safety, I like the weight, It's fun to shoot and it's accurate. It's easy to conceal..........should I keep going? I love my Sig P238!! And the P238 is modeled after the Colt Mustang. I have the Lady model. It is a purdy as it is a great gun.

I have a P238 and an all steel P238 HD. Love them both! They are great guns.

Here's a pic of my HD.

The HD has a thicker slide and a steel lower.

Not sure why anyone would buy the 238. The 938 is almost the exact same size but fires the 9mm. Much cheaper to shoot and has more power than the little .380

Because some of us prefer the .380. I looked at both and decided on the 238 because it is slightly smaller than the 9mm. I'm pretty sure my gun will do it's job if I do mine should I ever be in a SD situation.

I would go with the 938 based on ammo price & availability (usually) alone.

I have the 238 and was looking at the 938. Mine has been flawless and very easy to shoot and shoot accurately. There has been a heavy run on 9x19mm but 380 is available.

a quality rehash of the colt mustang or llama 380 seems nice. although the 380 and 6 rd capacity is a might small and underpowered wen compared with some of the high capacity 9s 40s and 45s you can get at roughly the same size. as well as a lower price tag on those pistols than sig is asking for the p238. but if your looking for a sized down 1911 this will work nicely

There are factory 7 round mags available. I have 3 and they add a little more to the grip. they will take the Colt mags.
