    Which one is better?

I know it's subjective, but does one have the edge over the other?

I will be going to the range for the first time on Monday and was wanting you guys to educate me on these 2 pistols. They are within a few dollars of each other, so would you pick one over the other for a first timer? Reliability and accuracy are key.

    Thanks!

For a first timer I recommend a .22 caliber pistol so you can get all the basics down. Safety and fundamentals etc. then after you have all those down you can look into getting some bigger caliber pistols. Take a safety course or have a friend that has been shooting for awhile teach you what they know. Safety is key

The SR9 is the vastly superior gun in my opinion. It's a really solid gun at a fair price.

The P250 isn't so hot and the trigger is worse still. Yes, there are a number of very good reasons why this formerly $650+ model now routinely sells for under $400. And there are a number of reasons why very few fans of classic alloy Sigs own P250s. If you want Sig polymer, advantage goes to the SP2022 by a mile IMO.

None of the guns mentioned above would be real high on my personal "want list". But I do believe the SR9 and SP2022 offer extremely reliable performance for $400 or so.

Thank you for answering the question. I have found the same thing based on what I have read in online reviews, but I wanted some real world experience to validate what I have read. Again, thanks!

I have a 250 in 40sw and yes, it has a long trigger but it's easy and smooth. I don't have any problems with it at all. I haven't tried the SR9 but I heard very stuff about them.
