Just my opinion, but you did ask......I do not like 1911's with rails, it takes away from what the 1911 is all about, along with the external extractor.:)

I definitely understand that. The Sig style slide had started to grow on me but I didn't like it at first either. As for the rail I want to put a Streamlight on there eventually. Thanks for your input :) any others??

I think there a very nice gun but I do not own any sig 1911's my father in law has the same one but with different grips and loves it
I am very interested in one so tell me what you think after shooting it that slide to me is just sigs style on all there pistols if you ask me but they sure shoot great

I've shot one of Sig's 1911's, which I think was either the XO Black or the Nitron, and I really wish I had one. In my opinion Sig's 1911's are undermarketed, because not many people I know either consider their 1911's or even know they make one. I'm not particularly fond of the external extractor since I'm more of a traditionalist, but that's the only thing I do not like about them. They seem very very high quality and just an all around superb firearm.

If that's what you like then roll with it. I have 2 Sigs and have no complaints. The finishes are great on them.

As a Sig 1911 owner. No complaints. 1000 rounds-no problems. No break in period either. For the money-no 1911 manufacturer comes close to the features that Sig offers in their price point. Here's my STX

I just purchased a Sig 1911 as well. Its the platinum edition.

I think I got a decent deal maybe, maybe not. It was listed for $1100, and I traded a Sig SP2022 in a 40 in on it for $300, the knocked 5% off because of my law enforcement background and two extra magazines for about $800 out the door.

Hell yea thats a good deal. The sp2022 is a nice weapon but 300 towards the Platinum is fair! and 800 OTD in anybody's book is a great deal. My Scorpion was just shy of 1k.
