I'm sure plenty of good Americans celebrate their 4th by exercising our 2nd amendment right..

This post is a picture thread about how you celebrate your 4th...

I'm stuck at work all day but wanted to see all the fun I'm missing out on.

    Post away...

I was hoping to get some shooting in today, but it was pouring rain today and of course the local indoor range is closed. :(

I didn't take any pics but hopefully I can describe it well enough.

About 1:00 one of the neighbors came by and we were shooting the bull in the reloading shed and he asks if we were going to do any shooting. So we gathered up some guns and hit our range! he wanted to try out the Casull, so we brought that, three Glocks, a couple of .357s and one .223 bolt action Savage. Once we got set up we heard another neighbor was shooting, so we opened up with a response, though somewhat less than what we had brought. They heard us and responded with another barrage, so we loaded up everything and all 4 of us opened up with a fusillade (I was double-fisting it with two Glock 22s, both with 15 round mags:D). Then it sounds like they brought out some Tannerite. Went back and forth for awhile before we decided to head in because it was too hot.

Later this evening, after dark, we could hear them shooting again, so we set up our cannon (actually an old oxygen cylinder that has the bottom cut out of it), dropped in some M-100s. I'll be damned if the shock wave didn't come flying out of the barrel and hit a tree like a cannonball-- and the tree was a good 40 or 50 yards off! I figured there had to be something in the barrel, so we tried another firecracker and again we could see the shock wave hit the tree! Made a Hell of a boom too.

    I think we won. :D

Hey purehavoc, who did you find to stand in front of the firing line while you were shooting?
