I do not own an AR-15, plan to someday. I picked up a 30 round magpul pmag a while back and seeing as magpul is on a 1,000,000 mag backorder, I think now is the time to decide what to do with it. What are they going for/ what are people paying for it? Is it like silver where I should just keep it and the price will go up?

Unless you are hurting for funds keep it. You are planning to get an AR, that will be motivation to "get them together".

I can buy Promags for 25.00 here, and Polymer Mags for 20.00. Prices dropping quickly on magazines. Last gun show I was at 3 weeks ago they were 29-65.00

Prices are definitely down off their highs, but still at least 2x what they cost retail back in October. At this point I think I'd just hang onto it. If they do pass something having to do with hicap mags it will become twice as valuable overnight. At this point, I think you'd be lucky to get $30 out of it though

i saw AR mags for $20-$50 at the gun show yesterday. the mil surplus's were around $20 and the polymers were a little higher.

just hold onto it. it seemed like AR's were starting to come down too. saw a bunch in the $1000-$1200 range.

I just had 10 windowed PMags delivered this week from Brownells. My cost was $155. And those are the spendier versions.

In fairness...I did backorder them about 7 weeks ago, and there are still people paying stupid ($40-60) prices here and there. But even amongst the GunBroker insanity they can be found for under $30. And there are a number of places currently taking backorders for $15 or so if you're patient.

So a $14 profit doesn't seem worth the trouble IMO. I sold a sealed 3-pack of Troy mags to a friend in need for $50 yesterday. They command about the same price as PMags.

I bought 4 Pmags with the window in it at my LGS friday for $24.99 per which I thought was a tad high but hey considering most scumbags charge double that, its cool. Brings my total to 23 Pmags I own. Most are still put up and have never been used. I also have 4 20rd thermold mags that I really like, especially when shooting off a rest.

Personally, I would not sell it if I planned on getting an AR.
