Can I shoot 00bk 9pellet out of my 28" accu choke barrel?
What about slugs?
is the accu choke the one you can adjust to different settings?
If so, leave it on IC. Go no tighter than Modified for slugs.
Yeah it screws in. So I don't really know how to set it. I don't see any settings it only screws in about 2 2 1/2 inches. Any help?
Mind posting a picture or two so I can get a better idea of what's going on?
Nevermind...I thought you were referring to the "Poly-Choke."
I assume your shotgun is a Mossberg?
Unscrew the choke so that it is OUT of barrel completely and look around its sides for markings. Post your findings please.
It has IMP. CYL on it the barrel is 28" ribbed barrel. Not real worried about the slugs but I need to shoot 00bk out of it.
I added the pistol grip and stock.
This is some more info.
Yea you are fine.....the chokes are what what tightens your pattern up.....the most popular sizes starting from the most open and getting tighter are cylinder, imp cylinder, modified, imp modified, full, and extra full...now there are others but these are the most common you are fine to shoot buckshot or slugs all the way up to a full choke ...hope this helped you out some
Yes it helped a lot thanks. Now what is the best round to shoot turkey with?
If you want to get down to the nitty gritty I could go on forever about Turkey chokes and all the different kinds and sizes but just to start out you will need at least a full but preferably an extra full...
IC is pretty ideal for slugs and fine for 00 Buck too.
try 4's or 2's on that turkey.
