I would like to know what kind of shotgun ammo I should store for shtf. I have a Mossberg tactical turkey 835. I would like to stock up shells for hunting and SD. I live in Tennessee we have turkey, birds, duck, geese, rabitt, fox, racoons, etc. Help me decide what shells I need for bot hunting and SD. This shotgun does not shoot slugs and I have a IC, Modified, Full, and uni full turkey choke with it and it has a 20 in barrell. It is my only shotgun right now but I plan on adding a couple more. Thanks for any help.

Well I'm not that informed on tactical ammo but for turkeys is hard to go wrong with federal mag shok with flight control wads

I'd stock up on #6 or # 7 1/2, or whatever the steel equivalent is.

And 00 or 000 buck for serious social shooting.

A few low brass #8 trap loads wouldn't hurt either.

#4 shot and #0 (not #00) Buck will cover pretty much everything.

The choke that came with my 835 tac turkey says not to use steel my question is what shells should I shoot with this choke on the rifle if I were hunting turkey? The choke says uni full turkey and is ported.

It's a shotgun, right, not a rifle? And says not steel, so, I'd use lead with that choke.
