Had a great time at the match this morning. We had about 9 guys in our squad this morning. There were 38 shooters all together. I also got to meet anonther FTFer this morning. Russ was there from the FTF. He is quite the shooter. He was holding his own for sure. All in all just a great day with a bunch of great people. If there is anyone else from the Grand Junction area...we meet in Whitewater on the first Saturday of the month. Feel free to pm me if you want to join in next time.

Hey Russ. It was great to meet you.

I shot IDPA today as well. 67 shooters came. My squad had 13. It took 4 hours, but it was a fun 4 hours.

I have been shooting my 1911. But I am getting ready to shoot my S&W 629 44 mag next month. I ordered some S&W Factory combat grips for it. They are production grips on some models. So I should be able to use them. I currently have the houge monogrip on it. But it snags on my shirt pretty bad. Plus the wooden grips would be better for concealed carry.

Wood grips always perform better on a revolver. I got on a kick with the Houge monogrip for it's ergonomics. It did not take long before I was putting the wood grips back on my guns. The Monogrip just killed the natural balance of my revolvers.
