    so i shot a .45 1911 today for the first time. Might i say i really enjoyed it, i still love my .357 mag service six revolver, but i may consider getting a 1911 one day, would have to be sa/da though

    I'm almost 100% sure that you can't get a SA/DA 1911.

    In my opinion the 1911 trigger is as good as it gets a SA/DA would probably ruin it.

    Don't know why anyone would want a DA 1911 but someone must??

    Here's a FS 5" DA from Colt, the model O1991DA;

    Try a S&W 645, it's sort of like a Beretta 92 in 45 ACP caliber.

    SA/DA, decocker.

    I hope ya'll mean Springfield 1911's -
    Saying you love a Single Action 1911 is kind of like saying you love your little miniature poodles :p
