it sounds like rip off. These people take a two week NRA certified instructor class and all the sudden they are worth $2000 a day. You know they are going to cancel classes until they have at least 3 or 4 students a day. It's not like you are going to get one on one instruction.

They might be former special forces. That is fine and dandy, if you want to support a vet by all means take the classes. But don't expect to get a lot out of the classes. You are not a paid assassin. You are just a man/woman that wants to defend your family. The two disciplines are worlds apart.

My hobby is shotgun sports. When I start doing things wrong because they hurt I take lessons from a retired Olympic coach. He will stick with me until I regain my form for $60.

I agree with john . You don't get good at long distance in 3 days . It takes lots and lots of time shooting lead down range to get proficient at long distances

there is a place in Texas called the FTW Ranch that helps you sharpen up your shooting skills. located in the Texas Hill Country, it is designed to help make a person a better hunter by simulating dangerous game hunting.

Consider other venues. There are several training facilities nationwide, from Gunsite in AZ to Sig Sauer Academy in NH. A 3-day course with a professional instructor should be about $500, not $1500. Do some research before jumping on the wagon.

It seems gunsite may be the biggest name in what you're looking for.

Nope, but they're a pretty public company. Shouldn't take much searching to find out.

FTW is for hunting skills, 4 days, cabins, lodge, meals, $1,800 a pop.
