Can anyone help me please. Have Arminius HW7 revolver and the cylinder is very sticky and rusty due to someone cleaning it with water!!!! (can you imagine). would like to know how to dismantle cylinder (or drum - however you call it) in order to thouroghly clean it. The locking pin is spring loaded, and i cant see where to start.....

I'm not familiar with that make of firearm.
Most revolver cylinders are removed by unscrewing the locking pin/extractor from the cylinder.
The best thing to do would probably be to take it to a gunsmith.
A book on basic gunsmithing and maintenance would also be a good idea.

Thanks Genl Lee, i got the cylinder dismantled (there's a pin which you have to tap out) and you can't imagine the brown gunk that i washed out. Got it working nice and smooth now (and clean now).

Thats good, I'm glad you got it fixed.
Now go shoot it some more and get it dirty again:)

Don't boil your guns! (Inside joke)

    Does this help?
