I ordered it from CMP in late December and received it three months later. The rifle was made in 1943 by Inland. I haven’t shot this rifle yet.

    Looks nice.

I'm 30 mins to an 1 hour away from the Anniston store here in Alabama.

It's SOOOOO fun going into the CMP store to look at all the garands, carbines, and 1903s.

Congratulations. I've had two Inlands and they were fine weapons.
How are the springs? You may want to replace the recoil/op rod spring.
    Enjoy that rascal.

Don't you dare bugger up a fine piece of American history by shooting Wolf crap in that little baby.

When I first decided to get a CMP Carbine. I thought about driving to Camp Perry to pick one. Because of how bad the roads can be between hear and there during the winter my better half said no. I’m about 41/2 hours from the CMP store.
I have not taken the rifle apart yet. I know the CMP checked the rifles out and fired a round out of them before they were sold.
I ordered 500 carbine rounds from CMP.

Crow, that is a fine looking unit right there. Looks like you've got the right set up.

My dad's got an old Universal he picked up back in the 60s. That thing is such a joy to shoot.

    Enjoy Sir.
