Fake Police Officer May Be Killing Mississippi Drivers

Officials in Mississippi are investigating two roadside slayings that could be the work of a murderer posing as a police officer or highway patrolman. Both took place in the northern part of the state, not far from the Tennessee border.

The first incident occurred on May 8 in Tunica County. The Clarion-Ledger reports that the 1997 Pontiac Grand Am of Lori Anne Carswell was found along Mississippi Highway 713, and her body was discovered a short distance away.

The second incident took place on May 11 in nearby Panola County. Thomas Schlender was found dead in his 1999 Ford F-150, in the median of Interstate 55. Shell casings were found near the vehicle.

Crazy...Had the same thing here no so long ago, except he just robbed the folks he 'pulled over'...

Not even sure if he ever got caught...

this tactic has actually been quite popular here in the tri-state area of NY-NJ-CT for quite some time now. I've told family and friends to never pull over for an unmarked car no matter what lights they are flashing and to call 911 and have a marked police care sent to your location

Even though this particular offender may have been caught always keep your guard up. For every serial killer caught there could 3 or 4 that are not. Always be aware of your surroundings at all times and train extensively with your tools. There is true evil in the world, so prepare to possibly confront it.
