Has anybody used this stuff? It seems reasonably priced, but if it's junk, it's worth zero to me.

    Any comments?

I bought some in bulk 1 time in .45acp. I was unsatisfied with it because I had about 6-8% misfire on me. Other than that it seems to do good in my other purchases. I must have gotten into a bad lot or something.

I'm not sure what this says about it, but S&B was used as the factory test round in my XD45.

Hmm. I don't like the misfires. I think I'll pass on the stuff. Thanks for the input.

Don't pass! I have 1200 rounds of .380 and .45acp left. They also make great rifle cartridges. Never have had an issue and the brass is reloadable.

S & B has never let me down with .38 spl or with .45 acp, very consistent. I've also tried their 00 Buck, but found their shells just a tad longer than 2 3/4", which meant a 7-round mag tube would only fit 6 if they were all S & B. As for the handgun rounds, I'd sure give them a chance, especially if the price is right...;)

Don - I have no experience with the S&B pistol ammo, but I have shot a good bit of their 8mm x 57 Mauser and .303 British rifle cartridges. Their 8mm is loaded for bear (ouch!) compared to the US made ammo. I experienced no problems with either caliber cartridges, and they shot as well as the old WW2 rifles would let them.

I have shot quite a bit of their pistol ammo as well in 9mm, .40 & .45 and I found it OK. A tad dirtier than Blazer maybe but that's the only complaint...

I'm considering picking up 500 rounds of .45acp. It would essentially be range fodder. But if it's too dirty, inaccurate or tends to misfire, I'd rather spend a bit more for better quality.

    I think I've shot some, possibly 9mm, but I just can't remember.

I've never used their .45 acp, but I've had no issues with the .38 spcl or the .40 S&W. I put them off for a while because I did not know much about them. They are made in the Czech Republic, so that is probably why they are used for the test rounds in the XD's as 'gello said. For range fodder, I think they are just fine. Even if they are a bit dirty, you're gonna clean the gun anyway. Just my .02. :D

I received two boxes of S&B 115gr. RN with my purchase of my CZ-75 P0-1 last year. All fired fine, and have reloaded those cases ok. All with no problems at all..My 2c worth..

Maybe I just got into a bad lot or something cause that's the only trouble I've had out of it. I've had other ammo from them without any problems like I posted.

Well, I decided to take a chance and just ordered 500 rounds from A1 Ammo. The price is too good to pass up for range fodder.

I just picked up several boxes of 380, which as everybody knows is scarce as hens teeth these days, for $18 on the Cabelas website. I guess if it works it is a good deal. Made in Czech Republic.
