Had a couple minutes over lunch today and ducked into a pawnshop... Sandwiched between a $699 tacticool SKS and a $399 camo folding stock 10/22 was this little $199.00 orphan finger groove sporter from 1968.

    Made my whole month!

Nice find! I should start hitting up some pawn shops. But I travel a lot, and my budget might not be able to handle it.

I saw a Marlin 25N Ducks Unlimited 22lr laminated stock in like new condition today. $250+tax. If it had been 22 mag or 17 HMR I probably would have bought it.

It's a finger groove sporter. They were made in limited numbers from 1966-1971. Not exactly the holy grail of 10/22s, but a close cousin.
