I'm thinking about putting either a scope, red dot or holographic sight on my ruger 10/22. I don't have much money to spend though. Any suggestions?

Red dot, scopes would be pointless on almost any .22 lr. At least that's my opinion

And holographic sights are generally a lot more expensive than a red dot

Better yet, get a "peep" sight.

What's a peep sight? Sorry. My first rifle.

My best groupings from my 10/22 were around 10 MOA and I guess I didn't specify, but I was talking about stock 10/22s and other similarly priced .22lrs

If your getting 10 MOA with a 10/22, there's a problem. While not exactly match grade, it should be capable of under 2" @ 50 yards with half decent ammo. (Minute of squirrel?) Nearly any .22 should benefit from even a cheap (but serviceable) scope. Especially for us who have recently discovered reading glasses.

Thanks. I wasn't sure why they kept saying a scope or sight is useless on a 22. I'm no hunter just doing some target shooting.
