Working on a old bolt action savage for a guy, seems he got it as a hand me down and want to hand it down to his son, well some where down the line someone has gone throught it and now it is missing pieces I have been able to make most, but the question i have is on the safety in the exploded diagram i have it is half circular clamp thing, looked on numriches site for part but they are out of stock. so i guess the question is has anyone ever worked on one of these and if so some info would be awsome.......Oh it is a savage sporter 23A .22 cal. bolt action with a clip

I had one of them many years ago. The safety is a piece of flat steel bent in a U with the top of one leg bent out(a U with a 7 attached). If that makes any sense. Interesting rifle as the barrel and action are one piece.
