Anyone know if you can buy the actions from savage. I have a 17 hmr model 93. I would love to put the model 93 trr sr action in my gun

Not sure what I mis-read but you have a savage 93 in a 17cal now?? It is the same action used in the trr sr just with less junk attached to the rifle in general. An you can't buy just a 93 action.

Confused also. The action is the same for any 93. Do you have an older 93 and want to upgrade?

No the action for the trr has a different bolt handle. Looks to be a longer handle with a bigger knob on the end of it.

Looks to be the same as the FVSR also. Your best bet would be to call Savage parts and see if you can get a bolt. Their customer service is pretty good. Other than that sell your rifle and buy the new one. I believe it also has a threaded barrel.

The barrels on the Model 93 are press fit into the action, not threaded. I know the 22WMR models are that way.

The barrel is threaded for a suppressor or other screw on accessory.
