Is the savage mark II any better than most .22s on the market.
My BV is the most accurate of any of the dozen .22s that I own. I own a lot of run of the mill .22s though. The BV is minute of paintball accurate at 50 yards.
I have a MK IIg, a Rem. Mdl Five, and a CZ Silhouette. They all are very good shooters. My Rem Mdl Five can edge the other 2 out on a good day, but they all are minute of squirrel eye at 50 yards. The CZ and the Savage have the best triggers. The MkII accutrigger trigger is just awfully hard to beat.
The Zastavias now imported are probably the way I would lean now-a-days. I wish Savage still offered the Classic. It was/is one very pretty rifle. Wish I had bought one when they were still making them.
Speaking of squirrel eyes -
I poked two in the eyes this last weekend with my Mk II BV.
I had it cut to 16" & threaded for suppressor use.
This rat took a CCI segmented, subsonic HP about 30' up a tree.
You're not going to find a better gun on the market for the money..Just don't dry fire them.
