Got myself a new toy today. Went with a Smith and Wesson m&p 9mm. Took her to the range and ran 100 Winchester white box and 50 blazer brass and she fed flawlessly. Couldn't be happier! Now all I need is a couple holsters and I'll be one happy camper. ImageUploadedByFirearms Talk1388122855.919551.jpg ImageUploadedByFirearms Talk1388122871.268409.jpg

    Congrats!

I got myself a new gun too, but it's not nearly as nice looking. My next gun is going to be an M&P 9mm. I just need to figure out which one.

Congrats on the m&p. I have the same gun and love it. Mine is extremely accurate and reliable with just over 1500 rounds. Mine shoots so well I entertained the thought of a shield and m&p45

Debating now on weather or not to put night sights and maybe an apex trigger kit. No problems with the trigger yet but just to make her more smooth. Off to cabelas to burn up this gift card. Maybe a new holster.

No gun for me this Christmas but gave the boy the option of either a mosin nagant or a new air rifle. He gave it some thought and said the air rifle,, because he could go down the street to the woods with it, although he really wanted the mosin, I think he made a practical choice. Now he won't have to wait to go to the range...
We got the crosman tr77, 1200 fps .177 . Gotta say for 99 bucks, its a tack driver, scopes a cheapy but the little rifle went through 3 20oz water bottles lined up. Not to bad.

Congrats on the new air rifle. We sell those at my work and I've debated picking one up. It should take out a opossum no prob. Hope she treats you and your boy well!!

I just picked mine up today. Is your trigger "gritty" feeling?

It's not terrible, I've felt worse but there is some grit to the pull. I'm wondering if it will change once I put a few more rounds through it.

A trip to cabelas and $50 later I got a blackhawk holster and a box of critical defense.

It definitely will level out. It took about 500 rounds thru mine before it really smoothed out. congrats on the new firearm and nice holster!

Those are some good Rounds. Pricey sometimes depending on where you get them! Some other alternatives: the Fiocchi line up has several, including HP's in 115&124 Gr. And the 92Gr. MonoBlock expansion rd.( my current fave). I have been testing SD rounds over the last few months, less for penetration, more for accuracy at short ( CQB) range...
MagTech's are good as well but also pricey.
