I was watching the opening of the Convention on the news a few minutes ago. Which reminded me that there may be some who do not know of the new rule regarding Vets may salute the flag when not in uniform during the National Anthem and other events! Or hold their hand over their heart as in the past.

U.S. Veterans May Now Salute Old Glory

U.S. veterans may now salute the flag, thanks to the efforts of U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.). Inhofe's Senate Bill 1877 passed by unanimous consent, clarifying U.S. law to allow veterans and servicemen not in uniform to salute the flag.
