I just happened into a Sportsman's Warehouse and they actually had a SA TRP Operator. Handling and balance was amazing. The manager said this was the only one they had had in two years. I bought it but have yet to have a chance to fire it. Any opinions on this pistol?

very nice pistol! no doubt you will enjoy it. i have had several SA 1911's over the years, and can safely say, none ever disappointed me in the least. SA has excellent CS department if ever needed, and they make some very nice 1911's.

I have a Couple of Kimbers, but as a whole, I am not very satisfied with them. Not that they are bad guns but just more FTF than I like, which is exactly none. I bought an Ultra Carry but quit carrying it as my everyday weapon because I just don't trust it. I bought a SA XDs as my carry weapon and am totally amazed my it, so I decided to try their 1911.

Here is a pic. Sorry about the quality, I just took it with my phone. I did shoot 300 rounds through it today. It performed flawlessly! I do love my Kimbers but this gun is in a whole different league.

Haha no targets to lie about! Bullseye all 300 times, lol. Absolutely no malfunctions at all. The same is true with my XDs, it was my first SA pistol after horrible reliability issues with the Kimber Solo and the Sig 290. After nearly 900 rounds through the XDs I have not had one malfunction of any kind. I am hoping for the same reliability with the Operator.
