Hey just looking for a little advice here, thanks in advance for any you can give me.
Saturday I bought a model 60 ladysmith .357. It's one of the newer ones with a 2 inch barrel. I love the gun and I shot a box of .38's out of it over the weekend and it functions really good with a nice smooth action.n my only question is that when I swing the cylinder out from the frame it has a little bit of front to back play and if I spin the cylinder kinda fast by hand it will actually rub the frame a little bit. I was just wondering if this is normal. The ejection rod is right, I haven't disassembled this but I cannot turn it by hand. Thanks again

Let me clarify that the side of the cylinder isn't hitting the side of the frame, the front of the cylinder hits a raised portion on the frame that is just forward of the cylinder release. I guess what I'm asking is that with the cylinder released from the frame is a little bit of front and back play acceptable?

Yes, when cylinder is open, some back and forth movement is normal.

So is rubbing against the stop on the frame. Why it is there.

Now stop spinning the cylinder. There are no ball bearings in there. Made to rotate, not spin. And do not "flick your wrist" to close the cylinder.
