I just got a smith and wesson model 1006 on a multiple gun trade. Does anyone know much about this model? I know nothing about it, any help would be appreciated..Thank You
What you you wanting to know exactly? The 1006 is a 3rd Gen S&W auto. They are built like tanks and reliable weapons. There is a small following for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gen Smiths, but they never really got popular.
The 1006 was my carry gun until the middle of this year. Outstanding gun. Accurate, reliable, solid. Mags are still available, but I have yet to find anything with more than 9 round capacity.
A Sprinco recoil reducer will tame the hot stuff and protect the frame from potential battering.
