    Guys, what is your take on the S&W M&P15? Quality?

    I picked up an Optics ready M&P for $749 a couple weeks ago, love it. Great rifle well built and shoots excellent. Get some extra mags !

    whats the diff tween optic ready for 749 and a regular railed one for about 500??

    Its great! I have the moe tan version. I have roughly 2500 rounds through mine with no problems. Its my training gun and get beaten and abused to hell. Great gun!

    Where are you finding an M&P15 for around $500? This isn't the .22lr here.

    I wish I could find a 556 rifle for $500, I would buy them up and re-sell them.

    I have a M&P15 sport. I have no issues with it at all. Very good basic AR rifle. No dust cover or forward assest. Not need for 99% of use anyhow. And you can still push the bolt forward if needed. Just mounted a scope so back to the range tomorrow but have fired enough rounds with open sights to be more than pleased with in. Paided $595 at my local general store.

    Of the standard ARs you tend to see in stock at the LGS I prefer the M&P15. Doubt I'd get one though since you can build something better.
