I really need a reason to justify dropping 700 $ on this fine fine piece of american steel .........

"S&W governor" and "fine piece of american steel" are hardly terms i would use in the same sentence lol

get yourself a good solid SA or a DA in 45 colt 44 magnum or 357 magnum and have done with it. you will thank me later

ruger makes some really nice revolvers with swapable cylinders that let you use 45colt in one and 45 acp in the other without moon clips same for 357/9mm

Again, if you were in the market for a HD shotgun, would a 410 be your first choice? If the answer's no, why does it go to the front of the line in an over sized handgun?

I like the idea of a double action 45 Colt/45ACP. But I have no use for a .410 handgun. And the long cylinder really screws up the accuracy of either 45 round. I used to think I wanted one. But not anymore.

I have a Contender that will shoot 45/410. 45 is terrible accuracy. 410 is good for snakes. Not much else.

As much as I love S&W, if you're just looking to have fun with it my recommendation is a Taurus Judge. You will save a bunch of money.

Alrighty then. If it was me though I'd spend a little more money and get a Taurus Raging Judge. At least that way when I got tired of shooting .410 shotshells I could have fun blasting stuff with .454 Casull.

I can't own any Taurus firearms in Massachusetts. The Gov. Is six shots instead of five like the Judge

Does MA have an approved weapons list like CA does is something?

Yes and no. There is an approved weapons roster but the attorney general has their own imaginary list that supersedes it.
For example glocks are on the approved roster but nobody sells them because they are afraid of the ag.
The attorney generals list has never been seen by anyone, including the feds, but nobody is willing to go to court over it.

Certainly sounds like a real winning place to be. Remind me to never move there when I'm done with Kali.

I'll add that to my do not visit list.
