Anybody have any trigger time with the model 610? That gun looks mighty good on paper and in pictures, but I've yet to see or shoot one. It's on my list of wants, and George Bush is sending me the money to boot:D .

Yes I have a 610 that I like very much. An N frame is large and I have small hands so I have put Miculek grips on it which help a lot. Mine has a 4" bbl and I use it out of a Kramer or a Talon Tactical holster , depending on circumstance. I rarely shoot 10mm , mostly I use 40 S&W and find it accurate and reliable. I am a great fan of the moon clip system ( also have it on a 38sp and a 45 ACP ) it simplifies and speeds loading and reloading. I find it far superior to speedloaders.
If you can find a nice one I say get it.

I have two of them, and older 610 classic which is the -2 model with the non-fluted cylinder and 6.5" barrel. I have a newer -3 model that is the same as the -2 model except now it has a fluted cylinder and the same 6.5" barrel. The -2 model has probably in the neighborhood of 100,000 rounds through it. Initially I bought 500 pieces of 10 mm brass for it which I wore out over a 5-6 year period, then I had some trigger work done on it which smoothed up the double action to about 6 pounds. It is my main IPSC/USPSA/ICORE revolver now that helped me win 2 other S&W's over the years at 2 consecutive IRC's (686+ and a 657).

I don't think I have ever put a single factory round through my -2 model and never intend to do the same with the new -3 model. I use RIMZ moon clips (polymer) and load 140 gr round nosed bullets into Winchester 40 S&W brass cases. I chose to run the RIMZ clips with my 610 after being burned one too many times with bent steel moons that would not advance when shooting matches. I can bend and twist the polymer ones without worrying that they will not work (unlike the steel moons). PM me if you have any other questions.

I have a 4” 610. I like 10mm, but I don’t shoot it all that much. What I do shoot is a 625-8JM. I find I shoot my nearly identical .45 a lot more. I love both, but I like to use .45 AR in the 625.
