I have 4 91/30's, a 91/59, an M38, an M44, and a New England Westinghouse M91. Milsurp ammo is fairly cheap and abundant, but the primers are corrosive and special care must be taken when cleaning the rifles to get rid of nasty residue that can pit your barrels. I also reload for them, and can avoid the nasty cleanups. Generally I use the milsurp for general plinking and my reloads for accuracy. 7.62X54R is right up there and almost equivalent to 30.06, and can be used at like ranges.
